Mark Boggs

Keys, Lead and Backup Vocals

Mark Boggs is the youngest Relic and is the newest comer to his craft. He plays keyboards and sings and feels overwhelmed by the luck of being able to ride the coattails of the far more distinguished members of the group. Mark is actually a PGA golf professional at the Bloomington Country Club in St. George who plays less and less golf as music becomes more and more of his passion. Mark is originally from Des Moines, Iowa and graduated in the College of History from Iowa State University in 1995.

Steve Flaig

Drummer

Seeing the Beatles on the Sullivan show in 2nd grade changed my life, I wanted to be Ringo. I played my first paying gig at 12 years old and went out of town on the weekends to play various events throughout   high school. After graduation, I went on the road for several years traveling throughout the mid west. Eventually I settled down and quit playing on the road to have a “real job.” That only lasted 10 years. At 30 I began to play professionally again and haven’t stopped. I am now an old man and still like to hit shit.

Gary Huff

Guitar, Lead and Backup Vocals

On this 12th bday, Gary received a gift that would define his purpose and life journey… his first guitar. It was 5 months after the Beatles hit America by storm. His soulful, yet fiery style was influenced by the legends of that era. To date, Gary has earned a reputation as one of the most respected, sought-after, and loved musicians in the region, a humble and modest legend in his own right. Beyond playing with the band, he is a gifted songwriter, guitar builder and sound engineer. Blessed to be alive, singing and playing his guitar, Gary feels privileged to earn a place in his band, the Relics… in his words, “one of the best musical achievements in Southern Utah”. Delivering magical performances that move the hearts, feet and souls of their audiences is his passion, mission, and vision.

Kahle Strickland

Bass, Lead and Backup Vocals

Born and raised in Ann Arbor Michigan 45 minutes west of Detroit allowed me the opportunity to be around great music. Detroit was the home of Motown, Ann Arbor was on the 94 corridor between Detroit and Chicago. Detroit had some of the best rock and roll in the 60’s and 70’s and Chicago was known for the Blues. This musically diverse area gave me the background I bring to the Relics. After I graduated college in 1984 I purchased my first bass and started to play this music I listened to as a child. I then branched off into Gospel and some jazz and work to bring all these influences to the Relics! I love this BAND!
